Suitable for: Cylchoedd Meithrin and Day Nurseries Staff / Ti a Fi Leaders / committee members and volunteers
Under the guidance of Paul Jones, the training will offer an overview of issues including: safeguarding, types of abuse, facing risk, modern slavery, the PREVENT duty, and mental health and well-being. There will be an opportunity to discuss examples of real situations.
At the end of this course you will:
- Understand the new procedures of the Social Services and Well-being Act (Wales) 2014;
- Identify different types of abuse and signs of abuse;
- Understand more about modern slavery, the PREVENT duty, as well as mental health and well-being;
- Be confident in your ability to record and refer where appropriate, and make use of Mudiad Meithrin’s Safeguarding Policy;
- Know when to refer a vulnerable adult without their permission.
