To mark LGBTQ+ History Month, a ‘Pawb yn Perthyn’  ( Everyone Belongs) session with Bethan Jones, Head of the Children’s Books and Reading Promotion Department at the Books Council of Wales will offer an insight into the development of LGBTQ+ books in Wales and the journey the Books Council of Wales has taken over the years.

The session will explore how fair and inclusive representation in children’s and young people’s books can shape reading experiences, foster empathy, and create a sense of belonging for everyone.

An honest and important conversation about literature, visibility, and the role books play in reflecting the diversity of our communities.
