A basic introduction to Reflective Practice

Suitable for: Cylchoedd Meithrin and Day Nurseries staff

During these sessions, Kym Scott will introduce the notion of reflective practice. She will discuss how reflective practice can assist practitioners to develop a critical understanding of their own work practices. This will help practitioners to develop the skills, knowledge and methods that are necessary to promote development, learning and progress among the children in their care.

During the sessions you will:

• Look at different types of reflective practice
• Learn how to reflect as a whole team and individually
• Learn how to involve children in the reflection process.

By the end of the sessions you will understand:

• How to develop an effective reflective practice and record what is relevant
• How to develop observation skills
• How to use reflective practice to inform future practice and provision.

*Everyone that registers we need to attend all 3 sessions on the following dates:

28 September, 19 October and 30 November   6.30-8pm
