Safeguarding Adults Training with Paul Jones, Independent Social Worker and experienced trainer

Suitable for: Cylchoedd Meithrin / Day Nurseries / Mudiad Meithrin staff and members of voluntary management committees.

Under the guidance of Paul Jones, the training will offer an overview of issues including safeguarding, types of abuse, facing risk, modern slavery, the PREVENT duty, and mental health and well-being. There will be an opportunity to discuss examples of real situations.

At the end of this course, you will:

• Understand the new procedures of the Social Services and Well-being Act (Wales) 2014
• Identify different types of abuse and signs of abuse
• Understand more about modern slavery, the PREVENT duty, as well as mental health and well-being
• Be confident in your ability to record and refer where appropriate, and make use of Mudiad Meithrin’s Safeguarding Policy
• Know when to refer a vulnerable adult without their permission

This session will be delivered through the medium of Welsh.
