Who Belongs? History, Race and Identity in Early Years Learning
Suitable for: Staff at Cylchoedd Meithrin / Day Nurseries/ Mudiad Meithrin
As a partner of the DARPL Community of Practice collaboration with CWLWM, Karen Brooke (founder of Oshun Education) has created an introductory resource comprising 10 short sessions which explores roots of racism and the need for anti-racist reflective practice. The resource offers opportunity to start to consider examples from history, society and politics culminating in a discussion about the significance of early years’ role in challenging harmful, negative stereotypes and empowering those within the sector to support children’s understanding of cynefin and belonging.
The session will give an introduction to this resource.
Welsh session with simultaneous translation.
