The nominations window for Mudiad Meithrin’s annual awards ceremony to celebrate and recognise all the excellent work at its provisions all over Wales will open on St. Dwynwen’s day this year, on Monday 25 January.
Mudiad Meithrin is looking for nominations of staff and volunteers in Cylchoedd Meithrin, Cylchoedd Ti a Fi and Day Nurseries for awards in 10 categories. We broke our own personal record for each category last year, and received more than 450 nominations
overall, and we hope to receive even more nominations this year.
Leanne Marsh, Head of Services Development for Mudiad Meithrin said:
“The awards ceremony is an opportunity for Mudiad Meithrin to recognise and thank the staff and volunteers at grassroots level. This gives everyone an opportunity to nominate an early years setting – be it a Cylch Meithrin, a Cylch Ti a Fi or a day nursery – for an award in one of 10 categories.”
All the details are available on-line – www.meithrin.cymru/nominate – with an invitation for anyone to nominate a Cylch or day nursery in a number of fields. The nominations window will close at midnight on 1 March.
Leanne added:
“All you have to do is state 3 reasons why you wish to nominate. You can also add up to 3 images to support your nomination.”
Iola Jones, Head of Partnerships and Communications for Mudiad Meithrin said:
“We hope that many will see this as an opportunity for a Welsh-medium early years setting in their area to be recognised for its work and we look forward to receiving a host of nominations!”
The nomination period will end on Monday, March 1st. The details for this year’s awards ceremony will be announced in due course. Before then the judging panel will meet at the end of May with a short-list for all 10 categories being announced at the end of June.
