WHAT COMES BEFORE PROGRESSION STEP 1?
Society of Schools for Welsh Education (CYDAG) and the Mudiad Meithrin are proud to present a conference for Welsh/bilingual schools titled; ‘What comes before progression step 1?’. The conference will look at how schools can make use of the Curriculum for funded non-maintained nursery settings (Cwricwlwm ar gyfer lleoliadau meithrin a ariennir nas cynhelir – Hwb (gov.wales)) to improve transition between Cylch and school. The guest speakers include the following:-
-Kym Scott – early years expert that has presented in events internationally
– Nia Evans and Gayle Shenton from Foundation Learning Department, Welsh Government
-Dr Glenda Tinney, University of Wales Trinity Saint David
-2 schools to present good practice case studies
-Jonathan Cooper HMI, Estyn
The conference is aimed at Headteachers and Senior Leaders from Welsh and bilingual schools, however, translation facilities will be available.
The conference will be held on 25th of June in Medrus Mawr Hall, Aberystwyth University. There is a cost of £75 for every person that attends. Tea/coffee and lunch will be provided on the day.
