Mudiad Meithrin is very proud to announce the highly positive results from Estyn and CIW inspections conducted in 34 Cylchoedd Meithrin that are members of the movement between May 2024 and May 2025.

The settings inspected are located across 14 Local Authorities in Wales.
During this period, a total of 187 quality ratings were awarded across four categories: Poor, Adequate, Good, and Excellent.

 

Here are the results:

  • Excellent: 41/187 = 21.93%
  • Good: 137/187 = 73.26%
  • Adequate: 9/187 = 4.81%
  • Poor: 0/187 = 0%

 

Additionally:

  • 12 settings (35.29%) received at least one Excellent rating
  • 31 settings (91.18%) received at least one Good rating

 

Dr Gwenllian Lansdown Davies, Chief Executive Officer of Mudiad Meithrin, said:

“These results are clear evidence of the dedication and commitment of our Cylchoedd Meithrin to providing high-quality experiences for young children across Wales. We are extremely proud that over 95% of the ratings were classified as ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’, and we congratulate every setting for their hard work and commitment to the Welsh language and early childhood care.”
