Good news for Dewin and Doti’s little friends! Mudiad Meithrin is proud to announce that the Welsh Whisperer will be starring with Dewin and Doti as part of the Dewin and Doti Tour this year, which will be travelling around Wales between June 4 and July 3, 2026.
The Tour will be officially launched at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday 23rd May in the Adlen Tent at the Urdd National Eisteddfod held at Anglesey Agricultural Showground in the company of the Welsh Whisperer and hundreds of children from Cylchoedd Ti a Fi, Cylchoedd Meithrin and day nurseries on Anglesey.
The Dewin and Doti Show is a touring festival that takes place every year across Wales.
‘Ar y Fferm’ (On the Farm) is the title of this year’s show as Dewin and Doti visit Tad-cu’s (Grandad) farm and lend a helping hand to the Welsh Whisperer after some of the animals goes missing.
The show is full of fun adventures, dancing, and plenty of songs, including original songs by the Welsh Whisperer like “Ni’n Beilo Nawr”, favourites from Dewin and Doti, and traditional Welsh songs e.e. “Dau Gi Bach”. The show is suitable for children aged 0 – 7 and their families and is a Welsh-language show which is also suitable for new Welsh speakers.
The Welsh Whisperer, Andrew Walton, is a familiar face and voice to audiences across Wales but this is the first time he’s partnered with Mudiad Meithrin to present the Dewin and Doti tour. Originally from the village of Cwmfelin Mynach, Carmarthenshire, the country-singing entertainer has now settled in Caernarfon.
Andrew said:
“I’m really looking forward to travelling around Wales to entertain young audiences from the Cylchoedd Meithrin and day nurseries. As a parent of young children, I am fully aware of the importance of introducing the Welsh language at an early age in a fun and lively way.”
Medi Jones-Jackson, Marketing, Communications & Events Manager for Mudiad Meithrin, said:
“We are thrilled that the Welsh Whisperer is part of this year’s tour and look forward to working with him to deliver the show. The Dewin a Doti Show is now an important part of the Cylchoedd Meithrin calendar and is a great way to bring the Welsh language to life, especially for families where Welsh is not spoken at home. The songs from the show are available on Spotify so that children and their families can get familiar with the songs beforehand and continue to enjoy them after visiting the show.”
The show will visit numerous venues across Wales with stops including Barry, Llys y Frân, Bangor, Pwllheli, Denbigh, Wrexham, Machynlleth, Llanarthney, Llwyncelyn (near Aberaeron), Ystalyfera, and Newport. Thousands of families are expected to attend the show during the tour.
