Good news for young children across Wales (and their parents!) – Heini is back on screen!

The Dewin & Doti YouTube Channel team are delighted to announce that they have recently collaborated with Heini (Karen Elli) to create a brand-new series of videos featuring 10 songs and movement activities designed to keep children active while having fun with their families.

Gwenno Haf Jones, Project Leader for the Dewin a Doti YouTube Channel, said:

“Two videos from the series have already been released, and we plan to publish the full collection over the coming term. We also intend to create one longer video featuring all of Heini’s songs together, making it easier for families to enjoy the entire series as a shared experience.”

The project has been funded by the National Lottery Community Fund to create fun and engaging videos that bring the Welsh language to life in the home. Since launching almost three years ago, the project has produced 240 videos, attracted almost half a million views, and gained more than 2,000 subscribers.

The Dewin a Doti channel is home to a diverse range of Welsh-language content for young children, including videos filmed in Cylch Meithrin settings, Ti a Fi groups and day nurseries, and also features Storytime episodes, gardening activities with ‘Adam yn yr Ardd’ (Adam in the garden), and popular song series with Siani Sionc and Martyn Geraint.

Gwenno added:

“Without doubt, our song-based series are the most popular content on the channel. They provide a fun way for children to learn new songs and, for many families, new Welsh words too. This new series with Heini is a fantastic way to stay active while learning and having fun at the same time.”
